SUMMARY

Pisay student Cara Florentino is struggling academically with several failing grades. Her best friend, the straight-uno serious student, Geneva Pascual, is trying to convince her to continue and not to quit studying— something that is causing a great deal of concern. Meanwhile, in the corporate world, leading scientist Julio Valencia, a top Pisay graduate, is fighting an internal struggle of his own concerning leadership, national scientific progress, and the ever-present shadow of corruption. Less fortunate is his schizophrenic friend and batch mate, Sir Ma Qiu Herrera, the teacher who may be doing his best educating scholars like Cara and Geneva, but whose alter ego is the corrupt politician, Senkatsu. This dark side to him is bent on making the most money out of Dr. Valencia’s scientific breakthroughs meant to help the Philippines.

Pisay Meets World

This site, as well as our short films (Horizontal Axis Part I and II), is a part of Pisay Meets World, a project put up by Sir Martin Perez who is our Social Studies teacher, and also a club moderator of Aksis.

We were asked to answer just one question in different ways, whether a blog/site, a youtube video, etc.

The question: What can Pisay scholars offer in the future?

 

We, as Philippine Science High School scholars, want to make a difference in the future. Pisay Meets World introduces and gives us the view of this while we are still students. This serves as an instrument so that as we grow and learn new things further, we can, step by step, make this difference.
